One More Last Chance introduces us to Sarah Cooley who has come home to Last Chance, New Mexico, for one reason—because it doesn’t change. Chris Reed, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to spark some change in the little town. As the new owner of the Dip ’n’ Dine, he’s shaking things up to draw folks from all over the Southwest into his restaurant.
My Thoughts on One More Last Chance
Although One More Last Chance is the second book in this series on Last Chance it is a stand alone story.
After breaking a relationship with a man who wants to change everything about her Sarah has come home wanting and needing nothing to change. Right from the start she is fired up because her favourite eating place is already changing with the new owner (Chris) who also wants to change the menu.
While Chris is still settling into running the restaurant his own life changes with his young niece coming being abandoned by her mother into his care.
Sarah receives a visit from her ex fiancee wanting her to give him another chance. She is also starting to see the real Chris and appreciate his kindness and sensitivity.
As both Sarah and Chris settle in to the town and their friendship, other small changes happen around them.
One More Last Chance shows us how nothing is set in stone. Places, people and life are forever turning in minor changes. I enjoyed the novel and the messages the Author conveys. The writing style is conversational and I felt part of the community of the story.
